The Siam Paragon shopping centre is 2.9 km away, while the Jim Thompson House museum, a collection of traditional Thai teak houses, is also in the central area. The temples of the old city are further off: the Grand Palace is 7.5 km away, and Wat Arun stands on the bank of the Chao Phraya river.
