Siam Charoen Nakhon Pier, a ferry pier on the Chao Phraya, is 900 m away. Asiatique - The Riverfront, a riverside shopping and dining complex, is 1.2 km off. Wat Arun, the temple on the riverbank, is 5.4 km away, and The Grand Palace is 6 km away. The Chatuchak Weekend Market, with thousands of stalls, is 12.8 km away, and Pho Nimit BTS Station is nearby for the Skytrain.

A full day can start with a ferry along the Chao Phraya from the pier, visit the temples and the Grand Palace, and end with dinner by the water at Asiatique. Because the sights are spread across the old city and both banks of the river, the boat is often the simplest way to move between them.
