Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, is 2.8 km from the property, and the Grand Palace is 3.2 km away on the eastern bank, which you can reach by crossing the river from one of the piers nearby. Asiatique - The Riverfront, 2.1 km away, is a riverside complex of shops and restaurants.

A good day could start with Wat Arun in the morning, then cross to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and finish with an evening walk along the Asiatique riverfront. Khaosan Road, 4 km away, is the place for street-food stalls, bars and night-time walking when you want the busier side of Bangkok's old centre.
