In a Box Hostel offers eight-bed dormitories, both female and mixed, along with private rooms for up to four guests. Jim Thompson House, the former home of the Thai silk entrepreneur, is 950 m away and open as a museum, and Siam Paragon and MBK Center are the big shopping centres nearby. Suan Pakkad Palace, a short walk away, has a garden of traditional Thai houses, and Wang Suan Phakkat Palace is also close by.

A good day could begin at Jim Thompson House and continue to the old city, where the Grand Palace is 4.6 km away and Wat Arun stands across the river. Chatuchak Weekend Market is 5.1 km away, and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 24.5 km away, reached by the Airport Rail Link from Phaya Thai, which is the most direct route.
