The Siam Paragon shopping centre is 1.8 km away, and the Jim Thompson House, a museum set in traditional Thai teak houses and gardens, is 2.5 km away.

A full day can start at the Grand Palace, 6.5 km away, with the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in the same compound, and continue to Wat Arun, the riverside temple across the Chao Phraya.
