Sukhumvit MRT Station is 250 m away and Asok BTS Station 400 m, so the rest of the city is easy to reach by rail. Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre with cinemas and an aquarium, is 3.2 km away in the Siam area, and the Siam Society, a cultural institution with a museum, is a few hundred metres off. Soi Cowboy, a well-known lane close to Asok, is only a short walk from the hostel, and Benchasiri Park, a city park nearby, offers a green break from the traffic.

Chatuchak Weekend Market, 6.9 km away, is one of the largest markets in Bangkok and is open on weekends, so it is worth planning a visit around that. For a full day of sightseeing, combine the Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum set around a garden, with the Grand Palace, 7.9 km away, and Wat Arun, the temple on the Chao Phraya riverbank.
