Hiso Potato Resort

Every room at Hiso Potato Resort measures between 35 and 40 m², and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. The rooms include the Standard Luxury, with a king bed and a street view, and the Standard Double Room, which has a king bed and air conditioning. Garden views and bathtubs are offered in some rooms, including the Exclusive Room.

Several rooms have a shower and a hair dryer, and some have a bathtub, toiletries or a private bathroom. Satellite or cable channels, flat-screen TVs and telephones are available in several rooms, and the Deluxe Luxury offers an additional bathroom and toilet.

Hiso Potato Resort has a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, a laundry service and daily housekeeping, and the resort has an elevator. Free parking and a car power charging station are on site for guests who arrive by car, and private check-in and check-out are offered. There is also 24-hour security.

Guests can order 24-hour room service, and a snack bar and bottled water are available. A designated smoking area is provided for guests who smoke. Wi-Fi is available in public areas, and the resort has a buzzer and wireless intercom system. Some rooms have a flat-screen TV and a telephone, and free bottled water is also provided in some of the rooms.

Hiso Potato Resort is on Phaholyothin Road in the Wang Noi area of Ayutthaya, outside the historic centre of the former capital. The nearest places are village settlements such as Ban Lam Sai, about 600 m away, so the setting feels more local than the temple core of the city, which is where most sightseeing takes place.

The best-known sites lie further off. Bang Pa-In Palace, a royal summer palace on the Chao Phraya river, is about 8.6 km from the resort, and the ruins of the Historic City of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are about 20 km away, where Wat Mahathat and Wat Chaiwatthanaram are among the best-known temples. For arrivals by air, Don Mueang International Airport is the closest option at about 32 km, while Khlong Phutsa Railway Station is about 7.7 km away for those travelling by train.

A good day plan starts with Bang Pa-In Palace, then continues to the temple ruins of the historic park, where Wat Mahathat is known for its Buddha head set among tree roots. Wat Yai Chai Mang Khon, a large temple with a towering chedi, lies outside the park and can be added to the same trip if you have time.
