Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn on the Thonburi bank across the river, is 4.2 km away, and the Grand Palace is 4.6 km away, close to the old city. Bang Rak Market and the Assumption Cathedral, a historic Catholic church, are also nearby, a short walk from the guesthouse.

A good day here can start with a river trip to Wat Arun and return to the Sathorn side for the local market and the cathedral. In the afternoon, Asiatique The Riverfront, a riverside shopping and dining complex, can be reached by river as well. Jim Thompson House, the former home of the American silk entrepreneur, is a museum set in traditional Thai teak houses.
