Happy Hostel

All the rooms measure between 14 and 18 m² and share the same core equipment: a walk-in shower, towels, a hair dryer, cleaning products and satellite or cable channels. Two rooms have a private bathroom and two use a shared bathroom.

Capacity runs from two to three guests, and the beds include queen beds, single beds and a twin set-up with two single beds.

Free parking is available, and Free WiFi is available in all rooms. The 24-hour front desk handles express check-in and check-out, and private check-in and check-out are also offered.

Luggage storage, lockers, laundry service, dry cleaning and babysitting service are offered, and daily housekeeping cleans the rooms every day. A shared lounge/TV area, a salon and a convenience store are on site, and there is a terrace where guests can sit outdoors.

Families can use the family room and the playground, and English and Thai are spoken. Breakfast can be had in the room, and a designated smoking area is available for guests who smoke, while the 24-hour front desk is open at all hours.

Happy Hostel stands in Don Mueang, on the northern edge of Bangkok, in a district of side streets, local markets and temples, far from the riverside sights of the old city. The hostel is on Soi Saranakhom 7 in Si Kan, so the streets around it are quieter and more local than the busy tourist centre, with small shops and food stalls where everyday life goes on.

The district is home to Don Mueang International Airport, the older of Bangkok's two airports, 1.6 km from the hostel; Suvarnabhumi, the newer one, lies across the city. For rail links, Don Muang Railway Station is 800 m away, and Wat Don Muang, a temple with a pagoda, is 550 m away and makes a short walk for an unhurried visit. The Royal Thai Air Force Museum, 2.5 km away, has aircraft on display for guests interested in aviation.

For a full day out, the Chatuchak Weekend Market, 15.2 km away, is open at weekends and is one of the largest markets in Thailand, with stalls spread across many sections. The Grand Palace and the riverside areas are further south and need a longer trip, so it helps to plan the route in advance.
