HANARO Women Only Hostel

All rooms at HANARO Women Only Hostel are for female guests and have air conditioning. The eight-bed dormitory measures 30 m² and has a city view. The female dormitory room measures 120 m² and has one bunk bed.

Both rooms have blackout curtains, a reading light, towels, toiletries and a hair dryer, and each bed is for one guest. Bathrooms are shared and have showers, and the 120 m² room provides an electric kettle and slippers.

The restaurant serves Asian cuisine and a la carte dishes, with breakfast service and restaurant lunch on the menu, and there is a coffee shop as well. Food delivery is also offered, and a shared lounge with a TV area and a library are open to guests.

Free Wi-Fi covers all rooms and public areas, and a laptop workspace is available. Laundry and ironing services, luggage storage, lockers and a postal service are on hand, and daily housekeeping is provided.

The property is women-only and smoke-free, with 24-hour security on site and bicycle parking. The languages spoken include English, Chinese (Mandarin) and Thai, and the rooms are for female guests only.

HANARO Women Only Hostel is on Soi Phaya Nak, a side street off Petchburi Road in the Siam area of central Bangkok. Siam is one of the city's busiest shopping districts, with large malls, street-food stalls and busy main roads, and it is well served by public transport, with Urupong station 600 m away. Staying here puts you in the middle of the city's everyday bustle, with shops and food stalls within a few streets.

Jim Thompson House, a teak-built museum of Thai silk set in a garden, is 550 m away, and Ban Krua, the old silk-weaving neighbourhood, is close by. Siam Paragon and the other malls of the area are the main shopping in the district, and the markets and food stalls add to its lively feel. It is a useful base for a stay that mixes shopping with museums and temples.

The Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha are 3.6 km away, and Wat Arun, on the river, is a short distance further. A good way to see the old city is by river: the Sapan Charoenpol ferry pier is 350 m from the hostel, and the boats run to the temples along the Chao Phraya. The Chatuchak Weekend Market, 5.8 km away, is a separate trip best made at the weekend, and Khaosan Road, the backpacker street, is also in the old city.
