Hammock Houses

Hammock Houses is let as one whole villa, so the house itself is what you book: a one-bedroom villa with a private bathroom, a shower with bathrobes and a hair dryer, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels and Netflix.

The villa measures 27 m² and sleeps up to two guests, with a choice of bed set-ups. Air conditioning, a kitchenette, a balcony and a terrace come with the property, so the house offers a self-contained base on Koh Samui.

The Big Buddha, 2.1 km away, is a large seated Buddha statue on a hill above the village, and Samui Airport is 1.7 km away. Samui Airport is on the island itself, so getting around Koh Samui is by road, and the property offers bike and car hire. Ferry piers are close by too, for day trips to the islands nearby. Wat Plai Laem, a temple 2.6 km away on the Plai Laem headland, is another stop on the island's temple circuit, and the main beaches such as Chaweng Noi and Maenam are reached by the same road network.

A day could begin at the beach and continue to the Big Buddha, before the evening walking street in Fisherman's Village. The Samui Elephant Sanctuary Bophut and the Bophut Food Market are also nearby, so the village is a practical base for exploring the north-east of the island.
