Grey Sheep Hostel

The rooms at Grey Sheep Hostel include dormitories with bunk beds and a Basic Double Room that measures 20 m² and sleeps up to three guests. Two dormitories measure 46 m² and 25 m², and several of the dormitories have a city view and air conditioning.

Some rooms have blackout curtains, linens, complimentary tea and instant coffee, and several dormitories have a shared bathroom with a shower and a hair dryer. Several rooms are set aside for men only, women only or mixed guests. Rooms sleep from one guest in the single-person dormitories up to nine guests in the mixed dormitory with a shared bathroom.

Grey Sheep Hostel has a shared lounge and TV area with comfortable seating and a large flat-screen TV, where guests can watch films or sport and meet other travellers. A convenience store on site stocks essentials and snacks, and daily housekeeping is provided.

Free WiFi is available in all rooms, and there is WiFi in the public areas too. Lockers and 24-hour security are provided. The rooms can have air conditioning, a hair dryer, complimentary tea and free instant coffee, and the property is smoke-free.

Grey Sheep Hostel is on Jarumuang Road in the Rongmuang area of Pathum Wan district, in central Bangkok, where commuters, travellers and market traders keep the streets busy through the day. Hua Lamphong, Bangkok's main railway station, anchors the neighbourhood, and the older streets around it give the area a lively, working-city feel. The area appeals to travellers who want to be close to the railway, the older parts of the city and the river.

Hua Lamphong MRT station is 250 m away on the Blue Line, and the railway station itself is 400 m away. Yaowarat, Bangkok's Chinatown, is close by, with its museums and Wat Traimit, the temple that houses the Golden Buddha statue. Sam Yan market is 500 m away, and the Si Phraya Pier, 1.1 km away, is the place to catch a river boat along the Chao Phraya.

A good day could start at the Grand Palace, 3.3 km away, and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in the same complex, then continue by river boat from Si Phraya Pier to Wat Arun on the opposite bank. Back in Yaowarat, the evening food stalls and the market streets are a fitting end to the day.
