Golden Mountain Hostel

The rooms at Golden Mountain Hostel share the basics of air conditioning, a hair dryer and free Wi-Fi. They run from family rooms with three single beds to the Double Deluxe Room with a king bed, and include dormitory rooms for one or two guests.

Several rooms have a street view and others a city view. Dormitory rooms and family rooms are both available. One family room has an additional bathroom and toilet. The Family Room for 6 measures 30 m² and the Double Deluxe Room measures 24 m², so larger groups can book a room for up to six guests.

It is a neighbourhood that works well for walking.

Golden Mount, a hilltop temple, is 200 m away and gives views across the old city. Wat Thepthidaram sits right beside the hostel, a short walk away, and Ban Baht, the village where alms bowls are made by hand, lies nearby. The Sam Yot MRT Station is 650 m away for trips into the rest of the city, while Don Mueang International Airport is 20.8 km away and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 27.3 km away.

A good day starts at Golden Mount, then continues through the old city to the Grand Palace complex and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha inside it, before a crossing to Wat Arun across the river. Khaosan Road in the evening rounds it off with street food, bars and guesthouses.
