Gate 2Hostel's rooms range from dormitory beds to private rooms. The Private Bunk Bed Room, 16 m², sleeps up to eight guests in eight single beds, while the female-only and mixed dormitory rooms of 16 m² each have a single bed for one guest. Private rooms include a Small Double Room with a queen bed, a Double Room of 16 m² and a Twin Room of 24 m² with two single beds.

The Large Double Room measures 24 m² and sleeps up to three guests. The Family Room also measures 24 m² and sleeps up to three guests, with a single bed and a queen bed alongside an additional bathroom.

Facilities at Gate 2Hostel include a shared lounge/TV area, a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, lockers, daily housekeeping, and a laundromat alongside a laundry service. A convenience store, a salon, shops, cash withdrawal and a postal service are also on site, and there is 24-hour security.

For meals, there is a coffee shop, and room service is available around the clock. Free WiFi is available in all rooms, and parking nearby is available. An airport transfer service is also offered, and children aged 3 to 12 can stay for free using existing bedding, while a baby cot can be requested directly from the property, subject to availability. Don Mueang International Airport is 1.6 km away, and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 31 km away.

Gate 2Hostel is in Donmueang, the district of north Bangkok that is home to Don Mueang International Airport. The streets around it are a mix of local shops, food stalls, markets and temples, a different world from the riverside sights of central Bangkok, which are a longer trip from here. Suvarnabhumi Airport is further away still.

Several temples are within a short distance, including Wat Don Muang, a pagoda 600 m from the hostel. Don Muang Railway Station is 850 m away and Don Mueang SRT Station 1.3 km away, and Don Mueang International Airport is 1.6 km away. Don Mueang New Market, a local market in the neighbourhood, adds to the choice of food and shopping nearby, while the Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of Bangkok's best-known weekend markets, is 15.2 km away.

A day out can start at the Chatuchak Weekend Market, well worth a visit at the weekend, and continue to the old city, where the Grand Palace and Wat Arun are both close to the Chao Phraya river. The shopping centres of Siam Paragon and MBK Center are a longer trip into the centre, and the Open Air Night Market in the neighbourhood is an easy place to spend an evening after a day out.
