Folk Poshtel Asok

All rooms at Folk Poshtel Asok have a city view. Room sizes run from 10 m² to 30 m², and the choice covers mixed dormitory beds, single and double rooms with shared or private bathrooms, an Economy Japanese Style Twin Room, a standard king room and a deluxe triple with private bathroom.

Beds run from single beds and a double bed to a queen bed and a king bed, and the private-bathroom rooms have a shower and toiletries. Several rooms have a flat-screen TV, air conditioning and free WiFi, so solo travellers, couples and small groups all have options. Rooms with a shared bathroom share those facilities with other guests.

The nearest transport links are Sukhumvit MRT station, 550 m away, and Asok BTS station, 650 m away, and a ferry pier on the canal is also close. Siam Paragon and MBK Center are central shopping destinations, and the Jim Thompson House is the former home of the Thai silk entrepreneur Jim Thompson, now a museum. Khaosan Road is further away, in the old city.

A day in the area can start at Chatuchak Weekend Market, which only runs at weekends, before a visit to the Grand Palace, 7.7 km away. Both BTS and MRT lines run through the centre, so many of the city's main shopping streets and museums can be reached by train from here, while the old city sights are better planned as a separate outing, with a longer trip needed to reach them. For the airports, Don Mueang International Airport is 19.5 km away and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 21.1 km away.
