First Villa Life Hostel

Accommodation at First Villa Life Hostel is split between dormitory rooms and a double room, and air conditioning is in every room. Each dormitory room measures 20 m² and has bunk beds. The double room has a queen bed for two guests.

Dormitory rooms have shared bathrooms, and the double room has its own private bathroom. Rooms can have blackout curtains, a hair dryer, toiletries and towels.

First Villa Life Hostel is on Ratchadaphisek Road in Din Daeng, a district of Bangkok where residential streets, offices and large shopping centres sit side by side. Guests who want to stay away from the tourist streets around Khaosan Road will find the metro the simplest link to the rest of the city, with taxis covering the remaining distances.

The Phra Ram 9 MRT station is 400 m away, and the Thailand Cultural Centre station is 700 m away, so both metro stations are within a short walk of the hostel. Chatuchak Weekend Market, a huge weekend market with thousands of stalls, is 4.5 km away. For flights, Don Mueang International Airport is 17.4 km away and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 21.5 km away. The Grand Palace and Wat Arun, on the Chao Phraya River, are the classic sights of the old city.

A full day could combine the weekend market with Jim Thompson House, a museum of traditional Thai teak houses, before returning to Din Daeng by metro in the evening, when the hostel terrace is a place to end the day. The temples and palace of the old city are a longer trip, best planned as a separate day.
