Expressotel by Ploenchit

Expressotel by Ploenchit offers rooms with queen beds, king beds and a single bed with a sofa bed, each sleeping up to two guests, plus one room for up to three. The rooms come with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, a hair dryer and a shower, and some of them look out over the city.

The River Kwai and Penang rooms measure 22 m² and have queen beds, the Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur rooms measure 25 m² with king beds, and the Singapore and Hua Hin rooms measure 20 m² with a single bed and a sofa bed. Several embassies are on the nearby streets, along with a church and a mosque, and the side streets are quieter than the main roads a few hundred metres away. The Skytrain gives easy access to the shopping districts of Siam and Sukhumvit, and taxis cover the rest of the city.

Phloen Chit BTS station is 900 m away and Nana BTS station is 950 m away, and the Skytrain links the district with the rest of the city. Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre, is 2 km away, and MBK Center is 2.3 km away. Jim Thompson House, a museum of traditional Thai teak houses, is 2.7 km away. Taxis and the Skytrain are the usual ways to cover the wider city.

A day could start at Jim Thompson House, followed by a walk through the shopping malls around Siam. The Kamthieng House Museum, a Lanna-style wooden house showing northern Thai culture, is also nearby for an afternoon visit. The Grand Palace and Wat Arun, in the old city, are a longer journey by taxi or river boat.
