Durian Family

Durian Family has double, twin, single and family rooms. The Family Rooms measure 25 m² and sleep up to five guests, and the King Bed Room measures 20 m² and sleeps up to three. Family 8 sleeps up to three guests. The Double Room, the Standard Twin Room and the Standard Single Room sleep up to two.

The rooms can have air conditioning, blackout curtains, a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries, and some have a balcony or terrace. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and some rooms offer a choice of bed set-ups.

Durian Family offers private check-in and check-out, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Guests can use a TV and wireless internet access in their rooms.

Durian Family sits on Pracharat Bamphen Road in the Ratchada area of Bangkok, a busy part of the city where residential streets meet main roads and local shops line the pavements. It is a practical choice for travellers who want to stay in an everyday Bangkok neighbourhood rather than the tourist core along the river, and who plan to use the metro and taxis to get around. Traffic on the main roads can be heavy, so the metro is often the easiest way to move across the city.

Huai Khwang MRT station is 450 m from the guesthouse, and Sutthisan MRT station is 1.4 km away.Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of Bangkok's best-known weekend markets, is 3.9 km away, and Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre, is 5.8 km away. A Ganesha shrine stands at the nearby road intersection, while the Grand Palace and the riverside temple of Wat Arun are further across the city, reached by a longer journey.

The guesthouse suits a day of sightseeing across the city: start at Chatuchak, where the weekend market spreads across many stalls, then visit the Siam shopping district on the way back. The old city, with the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, is better kept for a separate day, since it is a longer trip from Ratchada.
