Diff Hostel

The rooms at Diff Hostel range from private rooms for two or three guests to a room for up to six, with king, single, semi-double and bunk beds across the rooms. Some rooms face the street, others have a city view, and a couple open onto a balcony or terrace.

Some rooms have a private bathroom, while others share one with a shower and toiletries. Rooms can have air conditioning, a hair dryer, towels and a clothes rack, and guests can also use the garden, the shared lounge with its TV area and the bar, all within the hostel itself.

Diff Hostel sits on Soi Senakit in the Siam area of central Bangkok, close to the Ratchathewi and Phaya Thai districts. It is a busy part of the city, with shopping centres, hotels and street-food stalls along the main roads, and the elevated BTS Skytrain runs close by, linking the area to much of the city. It suits anyone who wants to be in the middle of the city.

Ratchathewi BTS Station is 300 m away, and the Airport Rail Link station at Phaya Thai runs to Suvarnabhumi Airport, 24.7 km away. Don Mueang International Airport is closer, at 19.4 km. Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre, is 900 m away, and the Jim Thompson House museum, a teak house that displays Thai silk and Asian art, is a short walk from the hostel.

A full day could begin at the Jim Thompson House and continue to the shops at Siam Paragon, then take a taxi to The Grand Palace, 4.3 km away, where the Wat Phra Kaew temple sits within the complex. Wat Arun, on the opposite bank of the Chao Phraya river, can be visited on the same trip. Chatuchak Weekend Market is further away and is best kept for a separate day.
