Delta 9 Hostel

The rooms at Delta 9 Hostel are mostly shared dormitories, including men-only and women-only dormitories, and one-person beds in six-bed dormitories measuring 28 m². Several have a city view, and some dormitories sleep up to three guests with a large twin bed.

There is also a room assigned on arrival for up to three guests. The one-person dormitories have a shared bathroom with a shower and toiletries, and one of them has air conditioning and blackout curtains.

The 24-hour front desk is open round the clock, and the hostel has a restaurant, a bar, a coffee shop and room service on site. Breakfast is available as an Asian breakfast or a full American breakfast, and food delivery and grocery delivery are also offered.

Tours can be arranged, and there is an airport transfer, a taxi service and bicycle rental. Currency exchange, luggage storage, lockers and safety deposit boxes are also available. For laundry, there is a laundromat, a laundry service, ironing and dry cleaning, and daily housekeeping is provided.

Other facilities include a rooftop area, a terrace, a salon, a gift and souvenir shop and a convenience store, plus WiFi in public areas and a laptop workspace. Paid parking is available nearby.

Delta 9 Hostel is on Sukhumvit Soi 71, a side street in the Phra Khanong district of eastern Bangkok, where local shops and eateries line the lanes off the main Sukhumvit Road. Sukhumvit itself is a long avenue with markets, shops and restaurants, and the side streets are more residential than the tourist streets around Khaosan Road. It is a practical starting point for travellers who plan to spend their days across the city.

The Phra Khanong BTS station is 350 m away and the Ekkamai BTS station is 1.1 km away, both on the Sukhumvit Line that runs towards the central districts. Phra Khanong Market is a short walk from the hostel, and Wat Tai, a Buddhist temple, is 950 m away. The Siam Paragon shopping mall, in the Siam area, is 7.3 km away.

A day could start at the BTS station, with a ride to Siam for the malls, and end back on the Sukhumvit side streets for dinner. The Grand Palace, 11.8 km away, and Wat Arun sit near the Chao Phraya river, a longer trip across town, so set aside a full day for them. For a riverside evening, Asiatique The Riverfront is also on the Chao Phraya, though it lies farther out.
