Daraya Hostel

Jim Thompson House, the former home of the American who revived the Thai silk trade, is 450 m from the hostel, and Siam Paragon is also close by. The Grand Palace is 4.2 km away, close to Wat Arun on the river, and Khaosan Road is 3.6 km away, while Chatuchak Weekend Market is 5.6 km away.

A typical day could start at Jim Thompson House, continue with a walk through the malls around Siam, and end with a trip to the old city for the Grand Palace. Chatuchak Weekend Market is best saved for a weekend, when its stalls are open, and Khaosan Road makes a lively evening stop with its bars and street food. The Skytrain from Ratchathewi covers the malls and museums of the area.
