Craftel Bangkok

The rooms at Craftel Bangkok range from female dormitory beds and bunk-bed family rooms to a 50 m² suite with air conditioning and a private bathroom. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

Family rooms sleep up to nine guests in bunk beds, and several of the rooms share a bathroom. Some rooms can have a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and kettle.

Craftel Bangkok is a smoke-free property that offers luggage storage, express check-in and check-out, and 24-hour security. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and there is also Wi-Fi in the public areas and wireless internet access.

The side streets around the hostel are quieter than the main roads, while the wider district is busy with shops and offices. This makes the hostel practical for days spent shopping, sightseeing and riding the skytrain.

Ratchathewi BTS station is 350 m away, and National Stadium station is also nearby, so the skytrain is the simplest way to reach the rest of the city. Within a short walk is the Jim Thompson House, a museum of traditional Thai houses assembled by the American silk entrepreneur Jim Thompson, 300 m from the hostel. Siam Paragon, one of the largest shopping centres in the district, is 950 m away. The Ban Krua area nearby is known for its silk-weaving tradition, and Ban Krau Nua Pier is a river pier on the Chao Phraya. The Grand Palace is about 4 km away.

A simple day could begin at the Jim Thompson House, continue with shopping at Siam Paragon and end at one of the river piers. For a longer day, the Grand Palace and the riverside temples such as Wat Arun are a further trip, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market, open on weekends, is further north.
