COZ at Ratchathewi

The rooms at COZ at Ratchathewi range from dormitory beds to private rooms. The private rooms have a double bed, a queen bed or two single beds, and one of them has its own bathroom, while several rooms share a bathroom with other guests.

Dormitory beds include female-only and mixed rooms with bunk beds, and the private double and twin rooms have air conditioning.

Guests can use a shared lounge with a TV area and a library, and the property has lockers, luggage storage and safety deposit boxes for guests' belongings. COZ at Ratchathewi is on Petchburi Road in the Ratchathewi district of central Bangkok, next to the Siam shopping area and within a few hundred metres of several temples and the Darul Aman Mosque. The side streets have a local feel, with small shops and food stalls, while the bigger roads carry the traffic in and out of the centre.

The Ratchathewi BTS station (550 m) links the area to Siam and the rest of the Sukhumvit line. Nearby, the Jim Thompson House (600 m) is a traditional Thai house museum set around a garden, and Siam Paragon (1.2 km) is a large shopping centre. The Grand Palace (4 km) and Wat Arun (4.4 km) sit in the old city on the other side of the river, reached by taxi or boat.

A good day could begin at the Jim Thompson House, continue with shopping around Siam and end with a boat ride along the river to the temples of the old city. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) is in the same old city, not far from the Grand Palace. On weekends, the huge Chatuchak Weekend Market is a longer trip by taxi, and Khaosan Road is the place for street food and nightlife in the evening.
