Coop Hostel

The rooms at Coop Hostel are dormitories. There are mixed dormitories of 15 m² that sleep up to sixteen guests, a 40 m² mixed dormitory room for one guest, and female dormitories for up to three guests. Air conditioning and lockers are offered in several of the dormitories, and one room is assigned to you on arrival.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms, and lockers are provided for guests' belongings. The female dormitories are open to women only, which suits women travelling alone who want a shared room with other women.

Coop Hostel offers a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, lockers, daily housekeeping, laundry and dry cleaning services, and a convenience store. A shared kitchen, a shared lounge with a TV and a garden are available to guests, and family rooms are offered.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms and in the public areas, and the business centre offers Xerox and fax services. There is 24-hour room service, and security is provided around the clock.

The rooms can have air conditioning, lockers and showers, and English, Thai and Turkish are spoken at the hostel. Family rooms, the shared kitchen and the lockers complete the range of facilities that the hostel offers to guests who want to keep their belongings secure while they explore the city.

Coop Hostel is in Pratunam, a lively district of Ratchathewi in central Bangkok, where street food stalls, shops and wholesale clothing markets fill the streets. The neighbourhood is busy and energetic, with plenty to eat and buy close to the hostel, and the Phaya Thai area beyond it gives a second train station for trips across the city.

The Airport Rail Link station at Ratchaprarop is 150 m from the hostel, and its line runs to Suvarnabhumi Airport, while Don Mueang Airport is 19 km away. Siam Paragon, the large shopping mall in the Siam area, is 1,000 m away, and Jim Thompson House, a traditional teak house museum devoted to Thai silk, is 1.4 km away.

A full day could begin at the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in the old city, then continue across the river to Wat Arun. For a weekend morning, the Chatuchak Weekend Market, 5.1 km away, is one of the largest markets in Thailand, with thousands of stalls. Back in Pratunam, the market streets near the hostel make a good place to end the day with a meal and a walk through the crowds of shoppers and food vendors on the street.
