City House

Rooms at City House are private and come with their own bathroom. Depending on the room, they can have air conditioning, a desk, a wardrobe, a microwave, a coffee or tea maker, a balcony or terrace, and a flat-screen TV.

The Quadruple Room with Private Bathroom measures 35 m² and has two queen beds, sleeping up to four guests, so a group of four can stay together.

Guests at City House can use the shared lounge and TV area, the shared kitchen and the laundry service. Luggage storage is available, the property has a terrace, and private check-in and check-out are offered. English and Thai are spoken at the property.

Free Wi-Fi covers all rooms, and Wi-Fi is also available in the public areas. The property is smoke-free, has non-smoking rooms, and also has a family room.

Luggage storage helps when you arrive before the 14:00 check-in or leave after the 11:00 check-out. The shared kitchen and the laundry service are also available to guests, and the terrace is a place to sit outside the rooms during the day.

City House is on the Sathon side of central Bangkok, a district of office towers, old shophouses, churches and small temples. It is a working city rather than a resort strip, with busy streets and a lively mix of local life, where office workers, street vendors and shoppers share the same pavements. The river is the big draw of the wider area, and the streets around the property mix everyday neighbourhood life with sights a short ride away.

The Saint Louis and Surasak BTS stations are a short walk from the property, and the skytrain is the simplest way to reach Siam and the central shopping districts. The Pung Tao Kong Shrine and the Chong Nonsi Canal Park are the closest sights, within a few hundred metres. The riverside temple of Wat Arun is 5.2 km away, and Asiatique - The Riverfront, a riverside shopping and dining complex, is 2.9 km away.

A good day could start at the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, then cross the river to Wat Arun. For the sights further west the skytrain is less useful, so a taxi is the practical option. Jim Thompson House, the former home of the Thai silk entrepreneur, makes a good afternoon stop at 3.8 km, and the evening can end at Asiatique by the water.
