Caligo Resort

Caligo Resort's accommodation takes the form of villas and one Jacuzzi Premier Room, each measuring between 54 and 60 m². Several of the rooms have mountain views, and the beds run from a single bed to king beds.

Several rooms have a bathtub, a hair dryer and towels, and air conditioning is fitted in some of them. Some rooms also have a flat-screen TV or a dishwasher, and rooms can have a balcony or terrace, a mini bar, a refrigerator and a coffee or tea maker. Several of the villas also have free WiFi, a telephone and a desk for work.

Caligo Resort has an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor swimming pool, a hot tub, and a garden with a terrace. Outdoor recreational features are also available on the grounds, and the shared lounge has a TV area.

Restaurants serve breakfast à la carte, Asian and Continental, and the resort has a coffee shop, room service and restaurant lunch and dinner. Breakfast is free.

Tours can be arranged, meetings can be held at the property, and an airport transfer is offered. Daily housekeeping is provided, and free parking is available on site. The garden, the terrace and the pools are on the same site as the restaurants, so guests can move between them without leaving the property.

Caligo Resort is in Ban Ta Khun, in the Khao Phang district of Surat Thani province, in an inland setting of hills and reservoirs rather than a coastal one. The surroundings are green and hilly, so the stay is built around the countryside rather than the sea. Surat Thani town, the provincial capital, has markets and shops for everyday needs and is the usual gateway by ferry from Don Sak to the Gulf islands of Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao.

The nearest natural sight is the Ratchaprapha Forest Park, 1.7 km away, and the Ratchaprapha Dam is 2.6 km away. Cheow Lan Lake, the reservoir behind the dam, is 4.1 km away, and it has a viewpoint over the water close to the resort. Khao Sok National Park, with its rainforest and limestone cliffs, is 16.1 km away.

For a day out, combine a walk in the forest park with a stop at the dam and the lake, then head to Khao Sok for a full day among the rainforest. Khao Sok is one of the best known national parks in southern Thailand. Surat Thani Airport is 38.7 km away, and Khiri Ratthanikhom Station is nearby for those arriving by train.
