C40Winks Hostel

C40Winks Hostel offers private king rooms with a city view as well as beds in six-bed mixed dormitory rooms. The rooms can have air conditioning, blackout curtains, linens, a hair dryer, a shower and an umbrella, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

Silom is a busy business district in Bangkok, where office towers stand beside street-food stalls, massage shops and some of the city's best-known night markets. C40Winks Hostel is on Silom Soi 3, a side street within the district, and the lanes around it mix offices, food stalls and small shops. Lalai Sap Market, a local market, is 200 m away.

The Chong Nonsi and Sala Daeng BTS stations are both within 400 m, on the elevated Silom Line that links the district to the rest of the city. Patpong Night Market, 250 m away, is one of the evening spots that has made Silom known after dark. Jim Thompson House, a teak residence that is now a museum, is 2.6 km away, and the Grand Palace, on the old city side of the river, is 5.1 km away.

A good day could start with the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, two of Bangkok's best-known temples, which sit on opposite banks of the river. The Grand Palace complex houses the Emerald Buddha, the most revered Buddha image in Thailand. Jim Thompson House, a teak house full of Thai silk and Asian art, makes a good stop between temples, and the Silom streets are easy to explore on foot afterwards.
