For a day out, the temples of the old city, Wat Phra Chetuphon, The Grand Palace and Wat Arun, make a full morning, and Khaosan Road is a lively place to finish the evening. The riverside gives the day a different rhythm from the busier streets further inland, and the lanes around the pier stay lively into the early evening. Asiatique - The Riverfront, a riverside shopping and dining complex, is also an easy place to spend an evening, with shops, restaurants and river views.
