Rooms at Blue Chang House measure from 12 m² to 36 m², and every room sleeps two or three guests. The layouts include king and queen beds, single beds and a bunk bed, with air conditioning in several rooms and private bathrooms in some of them.

Smaller temples in the Banglamphu quarter, such as Wat Intharawihan, are also worth a look.

Khaosan Road is 700 m away, and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew), inside the Grand Palace complex, is 1.7 km away. Wat Arun, on the west bank of the Chao Phraya, is 2.6 km from the guesthouse, and it can be reached by river boat from the piers at Phra Arthit and Thewet, which are nearby. Sam Yot MRT station is also in the area, and the airports lie further out.

A good day starts with the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, then continues with a visit to Jim Thompson House, the teak residence of the American silk entrepreneur, which is 3.4 km from the guesthouse. Chatuchak Weekend Market, 6.5 km away, is open at weekends and makes a separate outing. In the evening, Khaosan Road fills with bars and street-food stalls, a good place to finish the day.
