Khaosan Road, the backpacker street of Banglamphu, is 750 m away. The Grand Palace is 1.9 km away, and Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn across the river, is 2.6 km away. Phra Sumen Fort, an octagonal fort on the riverbank, and Santichaiprakan Park are nearby, and the Rama VIII Bridge crosses the river close to the property. Don Mueang Airport is 20.1 km away, and Suvarnabhumi Airport is further out.

A day here could start at the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, then head along the river to the ferry piers and back toward Khaosan Road for an evening walk through Banglamphu. The Chatuchak Weekend Market is a longer trip across the city, and it runs only on weekends. Street-food stalls line many of the streets around Khaosan Road, so an evening meal is easy to find.
