Bed One Block Hostel

The rooms at Bed One Block Hostel are dormitories with bunk beds or single beds, and some of them are for women only. Several rooms have a city view, and rooms can have air conditioning, blackout curtains, linens and soundproofing, along with a hair dryer, towels and toiletries.

Some rooms have a shared bathroom, and a walk-in shower is part of the equipment in a few of them. Computers, electric kettles and satellite or cable channels are found in some rooms too. Depending on the room, between one and three guests can sleep in it, with bunk beds in some rooms and single beds in others.

Bed One Block Hostel offers luggage storage, safety deposit boxes, lockers and express check-in and check-out, as well as a concierge, daily housekeeping, a laundry service and dry cleaning. Tours are offered, and a taxi service is available too.

The district is lively, with street food stalls along the main roads and small shops on the lanes around the station. Getting around by skytrain is simple from here.

The Ratchathewi BTS station is 100 m from the hostel, on the Sukhumvit Line, and Siam Paragon, a large shopping mall with an aquarium and a food court, is 750 m away. Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum with a collection of Thai silk and art, is 500 m from the hostel. Hua Chang Pier on the Saen Saep canal is 350 m away, and the Grand Palace is 4.3 km away. The Ban Krua Silk Factory museum and the Khlong Saen Saep canal are also close by.

For a full day, combine the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, two classic sights of Bangkok's old town on opposite banks of the Chao Phraya river, with a morning at the Chatuchak Weekend Market, which is open at weekends. Don Mueang is the nearest airport for the district, and the skytrain makes an evening out in the Siam area easy to reach from the hostel.
