Bansabai Hostel

The rooms at Bansabai Hostel range from standard to superior, with double, queen, twin and single beds across the rooms. Some rooms have a street view, and some bathrooms have grab bars, an adapted bath or a walk-in shower.

The neighbourhood feels like an everyday part of the city rather than a tourist centre, with local life in the lanes and a busy main road nearby. The temples of the old city and the riverside are a longer journey away.

The Khongsittha Muay Thai gym is 600 m away, and the Chok Chai 4 MRT Station is 3 km from the hostel, the nearest subway stop for getting across the city. Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the largest markets in Bangkok, is a trip across town, with hundreds of stalls selling food, clothes and crafts. For flights, Don Mueang International Airport is 10.8 km away and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 20.7 km away, the main international gateway to Thailand.

A good day could start at Chatuchak Weekend Market, then continue across town to the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, on the Chao Phraya river, two of Bangkok's best-known sights and both in the old city, a different part of the city from the hostel's residential district. In the evening, Khaosan Road offers street food, bars and a lively atmosphere.
