Banchan Hostel

The area is well placed for travellers who want to spend several days among the ruins.

Wat Mahathat is 950 m away, where a Buddha head sits among tree roots, and Wat Phanan Choeng Worawihan, a riverside temple with a large seated Buddha image, is at a similar distance. Wat Chaiwatthanaram, a riverside temple with Khmer-style towers, is 3.3 km away, and the Ayothaya Floating Market & Elephant Village is 2.6 km away. The Ayutthaya Train Station is 1.5 km from the hostel, with trains running to and from Bangkok.

The Ayutthaya National Art Museum and the Ayutthaya Historical Study Centre are close by, and the Thai Boat Museum is a short distance away. Wat Phra Sri Sanphet and the Vihara Phra Mongkhon Bophit are also within a few kilometres, the first with its three restored chedis and the second with a large bronze Buddha image. Bicycle rental is offered for exploring the park at your own pace, and in the evening the garden gives guests a place to relax after a day of sightseeing.
