Badu Hostel Sukhumvit

The rooms at Badu Hostel Sukhumvit are dormitories, from one-person rooms to rooms for up to three guests, some mixed and some for women only. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Some rooms have a courtyard view and others a park view, and several have a balcony or terrace.

Air conditioning is fitted in several rooms, and the park-view rooms also have a washing machine. Badu Hostel Sukhumvit sits on Sukhumvit 30 alley in the Khlong Toei district of central Bangkok, where office blocks, shopping malls and street food stalls sit side by side along the main road. The side lanes are quieter than the avenue itself, and the elevated BTS line runs above the road a short walk from the hostel. Sukhumvit is one of the city's best-known streets for shopping and dining.

The Phrom Phong BTS station is 500 m away, and the Sukhumvit line runs from there to Siam station, near Siam Paragon, a large shopping centre 4.7 km from the hostel. Chatuchak Weekend Market, 8.4 km away, is a sprawling weekend market of stalls selling clothes, food and crafts. The old city is further out: the Grand Palace is 9.2 km away, and Wat Phra Chetuphon, known as Wat Pho, sits close to it, with Wat Arun across the river.

A day could start at Chatuchak Weekend Market, then return to Sukhumvit for the evening at Soi 38 Nightmarket, a short walk from the hostel. Jim Thompson House, the former home of the American silk entrepreneur, is 5.4 km away, and the Grand Palace and Wat Arun can be seen together on a day by the river.
