Baanpin Hotel

Every room at Baanpin Hotel measures 10 m² and has air conditioning. The dormitory rooms, for men, women and mixed groups, have bunk beds. The standard double room has a king bed and a city view, and it sleeps up to two guests.

The standard double room has a shower, toiletries, a flat-screen TV, a refrigerator and free bottled water. In the male and female dormitories the bathroom is shared, and the mixed dormitory room is for one guest. The mixed dormitory room has a mirror and wireless internet access, and free Wi-Fi is available in every room, with air conditioning throughout the hotel.

Khaosan Road, with its guesthouses, bars and street-food stalls, is 600 m from the hotel, and the Democracy Monument and the October 14 Memorial are close by. Walking the lanes after dark is one of the simplest ways to get a feel for the area. Travellers who want who want to be in the middle of the old city rather than in the business districts of Sukhumvit.

The temples and palaces of the old city are the main draw. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) is 1.1 km away, the Grand Palace is 1.2 km, and across the Chao Phraya river Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, stands about 1.9 km from the hotel. A community flea market is right next to the hotel, with local goods and crafts.

A full day can start at Wat Phra Kaew and the Grand Palace, continue to Wat Arun by boat across the river, and finish on Khaosan Road in the evening. For onward travel, Sam Yot MRT station is 950 m from the hotel, linking the area with the rest of the city by metro.
