The rooms at Baan Suan Rimnum Resort include bungalows and standard rooms. The Standard Bungalow sleeps up to two guests and has a river view, a balcony or terrace and air conditioning, while the Standard Single offers a garden view in a room of 24 m².

Many travellers pass through the town on their way to the islands, so it works equally well for a short stop or a longer stay.

The most convenient landmark is Central Plaza Surat Thani, 900 m away, while the Surat Thani Night Market, 2.3 km from the resort, is the place for evening food and local goods. Wat Phothawat, a temple 2.4 km away, is one of the town's best-known religious sites, and the Surat Thani City Pillar Shrine lies a little further on. Surat Thani Airport is 17.2 km away, and the resort offers an airport transfer and a shuttle service.

A good way to spend a day is to visit Wat Phothawat and the city pillar shrine in the morning, then see Central Plaza before returning to the night market in the evening. For boats, a ferry terminal in the town serves night ferries to Koh Tao, and the town's railway station is 7.7 km away.
