Baan Glang Soi

Rooms at Baan Glang Soi have free Wi-Fi in all rooms. The Corner Room and the Standard Double Room each measure 26 m² and sleep up to three guests, and the two-bedroom suite sleeps up to five.

Other rooms include a triple room for up to four guests, a Deluxe Triple, a Standard Double Room 1 King Bed and a second corner room. Daily housekeeping and luggage storage are also offered at the guesthouse.

Baan Glang Soi sits on Thanon Charoen Wiang in the Sathorn area of Bangkok, where office towers, older shophouses and small temples share the streets that run down towards the Chao Phraya river. It is a practical base for travellers who want the business district and the river close at hand. Silom and Bang Rak, neighbouring districts of offices, markets and temples, surround the area.

Saphan Taksin BTS station is 300 m away and Surasak BTS station is 500 m, so skytrain links are close. Sathon Pier, 450 m away, is a stop for river boats on the Chao Phraya. On the opposite bank, Wat Arun is 4.1 km away, and the Grand Palace in the old city is 4.4 km. The Jim Thompson House, a museum of traditional teak houses in Silom, and the riverside Asiatique complex of shops and restaurants are also in the area.

A good day could start with the Bang Rak market and Assumption Cathedral, both nearby, then continue with a visit to the Jim Thompson House. In the evening, Asiatique is a good place to finish the day. The Chatuchak Weekend Market is further out and is better kept for a separate day, when there is time to browse its many stalls.
