Baan Bovorn Khaosan

The rooms at Baan Bovorn Khaosan range from bunk-bed places in dormitory rooms to single and double standard rooms, plus further dormitory and group rooms for larger parties. Wat Bowon Niwet Ratchaworawihan, a royal temple with a tall pagoda, is a short walk away. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) and the Grand Palace, 1.3 km and 1.5 km away, anchor the old city's sights, while Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, stands across the Chao Phraya River. The Chatuchak Weekend Market, 6.8 km away, is a longer trip across town.

A day in the area can start at the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, continue to Wat Arun on a ferry across the Chao Phraya River, and end with a walk back along Khao San Road through the old city's lanes. The river crossing is a relaxed way to see the riverside temples, and the lanes around the hostel are good for street food in the evening.
