Siam Paragon, the large shopping mall in Siam, is 1.8 km away, and the Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum set in gardens, is 2.5 km away. The Erawan Shrine, a Hindu shrine at the Ratchaprasong intersection, is 1.2 km from the inn. Phloen Chit BTS station is 300 m away, and the skytrain runs to Siam in a couple of stops.

A good day could start at the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, on the opposite bank of the Chao Phraya, and end at Asiatique - The Riverfront, a waterside shopping complex. The Jim Thompson House makes a quieter stop between temple visits, with its gardens and teak buildings. Chatuchak Weekend Market is worth the trip on a weekend morning, when its stalls are open. Evenings can be spent around Nana, where the bars and nightlife are concentrated.
