A&A Guest House

A&A Guest House offers single, double, twin and triple rooms, and several of them look out over the city. Air conditioning, a refrigerator and free bottled water feature in the rooms, with a desk and a hair dryer in several of them. The private bathrooms come with a shower and toiletries.

The Standard Single Room measures 12 m², the Superior Twin Bed room 16 m², the Deluxe Double Room 22 m² and the Superior Triple Room 24 m². Beds are single or double, the Deluxe Room has a king bed, and the Triple Room has three single beds. The Superior Triple Room sleeps up to three guests, and the Standard Single Room sleeps one.

The guest house has a 24-hour front desk and 24-hour security, and room service is available alongside its restaurant and bar. Daily housekeeping and an elevator are also part of the property, and the reception desk handles most day-to-day requests from guests.

Guests can use lockers, luggage storage and safety deposit boxes, and the concierge and ticket services help with plans for the day. Tours are offered, and there is a cash withdrawal service with shops at the property.

The restaurant serves a full American breakfast, and the bar and room service complement the meals. Staff speak English and Thai, and business facilities are available, with Wi-Fi in the public areas.

Rambuttri Street runs through Banglampoo, one of Bangkok's oldest neighbourhoods, next to the old royal city where the palaces and temples stand. The area is known for its guesthouses, tailors and small shops, and the streets stay busy into the evening. Many sights in the old city can be reached on foot, and taxis are easy to find in the district. The guest house sits on Rambuttri Street, a short walk from the palaces, temples and river piers of the old city.

Khaosan Road is 450 m away, a backpacker street of bars, cafés and small hotels, and the Grand Palace sits 1.3 km away with the Temple of the Emerald Buddha inside its complex. Wat Arun stands across the river on the Thonburi bank, and Phra Arthit Pier is 200 m away for river boats along the Chao Phraya. The train station at Thonburi is also nearby for those arriving by rail.

A day could start at the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, continue by river boat to Wat Arun, and end with dinner on the streets around Khaosan Road. The Chatuchak Weekend Market is 7.3 km away and is best kept for a separate trip by taxi, as it lies well beyond the old city.
