All the rooms at 4J Lodge@Bangkok have air conditioning, a private bathroom with a shower, toiletries and a hair dryer, and a mirror. Some rooms overlook the garden, while others have a street view or a country view.

Room sizes range from 13 m² to 24 m², and a family room sleeps up to four guests on two bunk beds. Rooms with a queen bed are made for two guests, and free instant coffee and a desk are among the in-room facilities. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Guests in the Suite Double get a private entrance, and the Family room has an openable window.

The old royal quarter lies nearby: the Grand Palace is 1.8 km away, with the Temple of the Emerald Buddha beside it, and Wat Arun, a riverside temple with a tall tiered tower on the Chao Phraya, is 2.5 km away. Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum with a collection of Thai silk, and the Siam Paragon shopping centre are further into the city.

A good day starts at the temples, moves on to Wat Arun by the river and returns to Khaosan for street food and the evening atmosphere. Getting around is mostly on foot near the temples, while taxis cover the longer trips to the shopping centres and the Chatuchak Weekend Market. Wat Bowonniwet and the Bangkok Metropolitan Museum are a short walk from the hotel, so the streets around the guesthouse hold temples and museums as well as street food, and the evening crowds on Khaosan Road are a short distance from the hotel.
