The rooms at 41Cafetel sleep from 3 to 12 guests and include family rooms, twin rooms and king rooms. One family room measures 156 m² and sleeps up to 12 guests on four single beds and four king beds, while a 20 m² king room and a 26 m² twin room each accommodate up to three guests. Several rooms have air conditioning and a private entrance.

Some rooms have a private bathroom with a shower, toiletries and towels, plus a flat-screen TV with satellite and cable channels, and some also have a hairdryer and slippers. Two family rooms come with a choice of bed set-ups. The garden, the shared lounge and the playground are shared spaces for all guests, and the lounge is a comfortable place to meet other travellers.

Phaya Thai Palace, a former royal residence now open as a museum, is 1.8 km away, and several other museums and old palaces are nearby.

The Sam Sen and Pra Dipat stations are both 900 m from the hostel, and Ari station is another rail stop in the area. The Chatuchak Weekend Market, 2.1 km away, is one of Bangkok's best-known markets, with clothing, crafts, plants and food spread over thousands of stalls. Or Tor Kor Market, a fresh food market beside Chatuchak, is also nearby, and a flea market stands close to the hostel.

A good day could begin at Chatuchak and end at the old city: the Grand Palace, 6.2 km away, holds the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew), and Wat Arun stands across the Chao Phraya river from it. Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum with Thai art and silk, is worth a visit, and Asiatique The Riverfront, a riverside shopping and dining complex on the Chao Phraya, makes a good place to finish the day.
