1Sabai Hostel

The rooms at 1Sabai Hostel fall into two groups: bunk bed dormitories, including a mixed room with five bunk beds and a female-only room with eight beds, and twin, double and queen rooms. The mixed dormitory measures 20 m² and the female dormitory 22 m², and every room has a shared bathroom.

Most rooms have air conditioning, and some have blackout curtains, a seating area or a city view. Both dormitories have a fan and a washing machine, and several rooms have a reading light and a socket near the bed. Dormitory guests also have lockers and clothes racks, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

The shared areas at 1Sabai Hostel include a lounge and TV area with a large flat-screen TV, a game room with board games and card games, and a terrace. Air conditioning is in the public areas too, and the property has 24-hour security.

For getting around and everyday needs, the hostel offers tours, ticket services, a taxi service, luggage storage, lockers, daily housekeeping, laundry service, a convenience store and cash withdrawal.

For meals there is a coffee shop, a snack bar and a shared kitchen, and food delivery is also available. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and in the public areas. Snacks are available at the snack bar, and bottled water is among the items available.

1Sabai Hostel stands on Soi Sukhumvit 23, a side street off Sukhumvit Road, one of the busiest commercial roads in Bangkok, lined with shops, street food stalls and nightlife. Many of the lanes off Sukhumvit lead to smaller restaurants, bars and spas, so the immediate area has plenty to explore on foot. The neighbourhood has a quieter side too, with the green space of Benchasiri Park nearby. The Skytrain and metro are close to the hostel for getting around the city.

Soi Cowboy, a well-known strip of bars, is 450 m away, and Asok BTS station is 600 m away, so the Skytrain is the quickest way to reach the rest of the city. From Asok, Siam Paragon, a large shopping mall with an aquarium, can be reached by Skytrain. Chatuchak Weekend Market, 6.9 km away, is one of the largest weekend markets in Bangkok and is worth a morning at the weekend.

For a day of sightseeing, the Grand Palace is 8.1 km away, and Wat Arun stands across the river from it, so the old city works best as a separate outing from Sukhumvit. Jim Thompson House, a traditional Thai teak house and museum about Thai silk, is a quieter option for the afternoon.
