19A Bangkok Hostel

The rooms at 19A Bangkok Hostel measure between 16 m² and 40 m² and range from dormitory bunk beds to double rooms and family rooms. Several rooms have a private bathroom while others share one, and rooms can have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a city view, toiletries, towels and a hair dryer.

The skytrain is the simplest way to reach the rest of the city from here. The Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of Bangkok's largest markets, is 2.7 km away and is open at weekends. Jim Thompson House, a teak house that is now a museum, is 3.4 km away, and the Victory Monument, a large memorial at a busy road junction, is nearby.

A good day could start early at the Chatuchak Weekend Market and continue at the Grand Palace, 6.3 km away, whose grounds include the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. The old city's temples and palaces are best seen over a full day, so the Grand Palace is worth a separate outing. For flights, Don Mueang International Airport is 16.6 km from the hostel. Back at the hostel, the shared lounge with its TV is a place to rest between outings and meet other travellers.
