For shopping, Jungceylon Shopping Center is 450 m away, and the Banzaan Fresh Market, with its night stalls, is a little further on. Phuket International Airport is 24.1 km away, and Karon and Kata beaches lie further along the coast for a change of scene.

A good day could begin on Patong Beach and end on Bangla Road after dark. For something different, the Big Buddha, a large statue on a hilltop, is 7.7 km away, and Wat Chalong, one of Phuket's most revered temples, is also reached by road from the town. Both are easy to combine with a day on the beach, and an evening on Bangla Road is never far away, so the town's two sides can be enjoyed on the same trip.
