YP Hostel

At YP Hostel you can book a single bunk bed in a mixed dormitory room, or choose a double room or a quadruple room for up to four guests. Air conditioning is fitted in every room.

The dormitory rooms measure 18, 20 and 22 m², with bunk beds, reading lights and lockers, and guests in them share the bathroom. The deluxe double room measures 20 m² and has its own bathroom.

The hostel has a games room with billiards, table tennis and board games, and a shared lounge with a TV area. Billiards, table tennis and board games are all available in the games room, for solo travellers and groups alike. The public areas have air conditioning.

Guests can use luggage storage and lockers, laundry and ironing services, and daily housekeeping. Guests with larger bags can leave them in the luggage storage. A vending machine with snacks and refreshments is on site, and express check-in and check-out are offered.

Free parking is available, and car hire is offered too. There is an airport transfer and a shuttle service, and English and Thai are spoken at the hostel.

YP Hostel is on Chaweng Beach Road in Chaweng, the lively beach area of Koh Samui, where shops, bars and restaurants line the roads close to the sand. Travellers who want the beach and the busy streets close at hand, rather than a quiet village, will be well placed here.

Nora Beach is the nearest beach, 800 m away, and Chaweng Yai Beach is 1.5 km away, with its sand and the shops and bars that line it. Samui Airport is 1.3 km from the hostel, so a flight to the island ends close by. Central Festival Samui, a large shopping centre, is also nearby, and Samui International Hospital is close for any medical need. Further away, Wat Plai Laem, known for its large Guanyin statue, is 3.5 km away, and the Big Buddha temple is 3.7 km away.

A day could start with a swim at Nora Beach or Chaweng Yai Beach, then continue to Fisherman's Village and the temples. A visit to the Samui Elephant Sanctuary in Bophut fits a day out as well, and the Na Muang Waterfall lies further inland on the island, a good choice for an afternoon away from the coast. Ferry piers such as Bangrak Pier are also close, for anyone planning to explore the nearby islands.
