DK1Hostel

DK1Hostel has standard rooms and shared dormitories, sleeping from one guest up to four. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Standard Room 106 measures 100 m², with a countryside view and air conditioning, and sleeps one guest.

The Basic Shared Dormitory measures 32 m², has six bunk beds and a city view, and sleeps up to two guests. Several rooms sleep up to three or four guests, and Standard Room 107 has a city view with a balcony.

Guests can use a fitness centre, and massage is offered on site. The shared lounge has a TV area, and there is a game room and a terrace. Daily housekeeping is offered, with laundry, dry cleaning and ironing services, plus luggage storage, lockers and safety deposit boxes. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and WiFi also works in public areas.

There is a coffee shop and a shared kitchen, and food delivery and grocery delivery are offered. Tours, car hire, ticket services, a concierge and currency exchange are also available, and there is an airport transfer. Non-smoking rooms are available, and a smoking area is provided for guests who smoke. English and Thai are spoken on site.

DK1Hostel is on Koh Samui, an island in the Gulf of Thailand known for its beaches, temples and markets. The streets close to the hostel are lively, with small shops and street-food stalls, and the island's main beach strip is never far away. Inland, Koh Samui has hills and waterfalls, including Na Muang Waterfall.

Chaweng Noi Beach is 1.2 km away, and Central Festival Samui, a large shopping centre, is 1.5 km away. Fisherman's Village, 4.8 km away, is a small area of shops and restaurants in an old fishing village, and the Big Buddha, 5.5 km away, is a large statue that is one of the island's landmarks. The Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks, known as the Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks, are further afield.

Samui Airport (USM) is 3.2 km away, on the island itself, so you do not need a ferry to get from the airport to the hostel. A good day could combine a visit to the Big Buddha with an evening in Fisherman's Village, with Chaweng Noi Beach fitting in before or after. Central Festival Samui is a practical stop for shopping, and Wat Plai Laem is another temple to add to the route, set on the coast of the island.
