Yangyai Garden Lodge

The rooms at Yangyai Garden Lodge vary in size, from a 12 m² bunk bed room in a mixed dormitory to a 50 m² one-bedroom house. Mountain views and garden views appear in several rooms, and some open onto a balcony or a patio.

Several rooms sleep up to three guests, while the rest sleep two. The beds are king, queen and bunk beds, depending on the room. Air conditioning is one of the room facilities, and some rooms have a private bathroom with a shower, toiletries, towels and a hair dryer. The one-bedroom house also has a flat-screen TV and a walk-in shower. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

The grounds at Yangyai Garden Lodge include an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a terrace, along with a shared kitchen and food delivery. A shuttle service is offered, and tours and hiking can be arranged.

Yangyai Garden Lodge is in Ban Tai, a village on Ko Pha-ngan, and the lodge sits in a green setting with garden and mountain views. The area mixes village houses with temples and a church, and the beaches of Ban Tai are close by. Ko Pha-ngan is known for its beaches, temples and jungle trails.

The Biggest Yang Na Tree stands 200 m from the lodge and Wat Nai, a pagoda, is 550 m away. Haad Baan Tai beach is 1.2 km away, and the Phaeng Noi waterfall lies 3.6 km off. The Phangan Elephant Sanctuary and Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach are also on the island. The sights are spread across Ban Tai and its surroundings, so a scooter or a songthaew helps with the farther ones.

A good plan is to begin with the Biggest Yang Na Tree and Wat Nai, both close enough to walk to, and then continue to Haad Baan Tai beach for the afternoon. The Night Market is also nearby, a place to browse food stalls in the evening. The Chinese Temple, the Bulao Malayu Mosque and Victory Church are also in the wider area, all within a few kilometres. Free parking is available at the lodge for guests who come by scooter or car.
