X10 Khaolak Resort

The rooms at X10 Khaolak Resort range in size from 35 m² to 68 m², in deluxe rooms, triple rooms, family wing rooms and a two-bedroom suite. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and the maximum occupancy ranges from two to five guests.

Many rooms have a private bathroom with a separate shower/bathtub or a walk-in shower, along with bathrobes, a hair dryer and toiletries. Garden and pool views feature in several of the rooms, and the bed arrangements vary from room to room. The 35 m² deluxe rooms sleep up to three guests, while the family wing rooms and the two-bedroom suite sleep up to five.

The resort has an outdoor swimming pool with a poolside bar, and its leisure facilities include a fitness centre, a yoga room, a spa with massage, billiards, table tennis and darts. A water park with water slides is on site, and wind surfing and canoeing are offered.

Khao Lak is a beach town on Thailand's Andaman coast, in Phangnga province, with a long sandy shoreline and a mix of resorts and small guesthouses along the road. Bang Niang Beach is 100 m from the resort, and Nang Thong Beach is 250 m away, so the sand is within a short walk.

The inland side of the area is forest. Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park is 3.2 km away, with hiking trails through the forest, and the Ton Chong Fa Waterfall is 4.3 km from the resort. Day trips by boat to the Similan Islands National Park leave from the Khao Lak coast, so both the sea and the forest are close to the resort, and the boats leave from the same coast as the beaches.

A good day could start with a walk along Bang Niang Beach, followed by a visit to the Tsunami Museum, which is about 1.6 km away and documents the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami that struck this coast. The afternoon can be spent at the waterfall or on one of the national park trails, and the resort's own pool and beach are an easy return point after a day out on the road and the trails.
