Wonderful Resort and Bungalow

The rooms at Wonderful Resort and Bungalow range from standard doubles and twins to family bungalows with balconies, a studio bungalow with a pool view and a family room sleeping up to nine guests. Most rooms look out over the garden, and the family bungalow and the king bungalow have balconies.

The standard double, the standard twin and the standard cottage each measure 28 m², and the family bungalow measures 24 m². Many rooms have a private bathroom with shower and toiletries, several are air-conditioned, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

The private beach is on site, and guests can go snorkelling, canoeing, diving, fishing or hiking. Non-motorised water sports and tours are also offered, along with bicycle rental and car hire.

For meals there are a restaurant, a coffee shop, a bar, a poolside bar and BBQ facilities, along with room service and food delivery. Breakfast comes as a buffet, continental or halal style.

Practical services include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, safety deposit boxes, currency exchange, laundry service, daily housekeeping and express check-in and check-out. Parking is free on site, valet parking is also offered, and the resort is wheelchair accessible. English, Italian, Spanish and Thai are spoken.

Pra Ae Beach is the stretch of sand known as Long Beach, one of the main beaches on Koh Lanta, an island in the Andaman Sea reached by ferry from the Krabi coast. The area mixes small resorts and beach bars with village life, and the sea and the sand are the main reason to stay here. Koh Lanta has forest on its hills and villages along its roads, so the island feels more varied than its beaches alone.

A short walk from the hotel are a Thai spa, a clinic and a convenience store. Khlong Dao Beach, 2.1 km away, has its own sandy bay, and the Khao Mai Kaew Cave and Lanta Old Town lie farther out on the island. The island's beaches and sights are spread along its roads, but the airport is on the mainland: Krabi International Airport is 55 km away, and reaching Koh Lanta means taking a ferry, with the last stretch by boat.

A good day could start on Long Beach and continue to Mu Ko Lanta National Park, 16.7 km away, a marine national park of islands, forest and waterfalls. In the rainy months rough seas can affect boat trips from the island, so an excursion by boat is best planned around the weather. Back at the resort, the pools and the private beach make an easy way to end the day.
